The Analysis ribbon group, like any Microsoft Office-styled application, is comprised of buttons.
Functions here enable analysis of data in the standard Classification System and Hierarchies. The functionality enables reporting of hierarchical data in a denormalized format, as well as reporting for some common defects and data inconsistencies.
Classification
This functionality enables analysis of classification data such as Merchandise Category Hierarchy, Site Groups, and Site Hierarchy.
Click the Classification button and enter a 3-digit Class Type:
- 026 - Merchandise Category Hierarchy
- Optionally, enter the Class number of the top-level node of the Merchandise Category Hierarchy. If this entry is left blank then the system will find the top-level node(s). If multiple top-level nodes of the hierarchy are found (hierarchy nodes without a parent) then the user is presented with a list and may choose one or more top-level nodes to include in the analysis.
- If multiple top-level nodes are selected then each will be included in the report. The report will include multiple hierarchies without a common top-level node, which is exactly what exists in the system in this scenario.
- A report is created, to display the Merchandise Category Hierarchy in a denormalized format.
- Reference Article assigned to each Merchandise Category is included in the report.
- Unclassified Merchandise Categories are included in the report. These are Material Groups, non-Retail, and exist in T023 but not in the classification system.
- Unassigned Merchandise Categories are included in the report. These are MC not assigned to any Hierarchy Level.
- Unassigned Merchandise Category Levels (nodes) are included in the report.
- All analysis is performed using data in the active Local System Database. A prerequisite for using this functionality is to Transfer Data from SAP for relevant tables to a Local System Database: T023, T023T, KLAH, KSSK, SWOR.
- A report is created, listing all Site Groups and Sites assigned to each Site Group.
- Site Groups without any Site Assignments are included in the report.
- Site not assigned to any Site Group are included in the report.
- All analysis is performed using data in the active Local System Database. A prerequisite for using this functionality is to Transfer Data from SAP for relevant tables to a Local System Database: T001W, KLAH, KSSK, SWOR.
- Optionally, enter the Class number of the top-level node of the Site Hierarchy.
- A report is created, to display the Site Hierarchy in a denormalized format.

Hierarchy
This functionality enables analysis of hierarchy data such Cost or Profit Center Hierarchy.
- Click the Hierarchy button and enter a 4-digit Set Class:
- 0101 -Cost Center Hierarchy
- 0106 -Profit Center Hierarchy
- Organizational Unit as Set Subclass
Note that table SETHEADERT includes the values for the above 3 inputs.
All analysis is performed using data in the active Local System Database. A prerequisite for using this functionality is to Transfer Data from SAP for relevant tables to a Local System Database: SETHEADERT, SETNODE.
